Original thread: Wheel balance issues with wheels from a later model BMW

PROBLEM: My car has serious wheel balance issues since I put wheels from a later series (e.g., E39 M5 replicas) with the same bolt pattern on it.

CAUSE: BMW wheels are hubcentric, and you need hubcentric adapters to make some of the later wheels work properly on an E28.

SOLUTION: Purchase and install 74mmx72.56mm hubcentric adapters (rings) for each wheel, e.g. part no. A-670 from Tire Rack.
